Where is RiRi Now?
Updated: Sep 21, 2020
We love her, we listen to her but where is she? Following her latest debut album - Anti (2016), Rihanna has been away and off the map with no hard-hitting leads of what she is up to or what is soon to be expected from the iconic singer. Although, if you didn’t have your Twitter notifications on this past week then you probably missed some exciting news from contributing artists on a newly registered song. "Yeah, I Said It" … new music is soon to be released by the end of 2019 and fans couldn’t be more eager to hear the bops and anthems to come.
In the meantime, most people have the same questions floating in the air: who is the man candy lounging around with RiRi? what're the inspirations of Fenty Beauty and how the Barbados native is helping her community?
Background of Rihanna
In May of 2016, Rihanna announced a college scholarship program through her Clara Lionel Foundation to help international and U.S. student attend college in the United States. The Barbados native will reward scholarships ranging from $5,000 - $50,000 for residents of Barbados, Brazil, Cuba, Haiti, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica or the U.S. and all applicants must be accepted by an accredited four year U.S. college or university for the following school year.
She hopes to increase the amount of Carribean representatives in the United States and provide the best gift of an education to families and future students that are in need. Rihanna told USA Today College, “Higher education will help provide perspective, opportunities and learning to a group of kids who really deserve it. I am thrilled to be able to do this.”
Rihanna and Hassan
With on and off breakups since 2017, the couple has been spotted numerous times around Europe, Ibiza, and the United States cozying up to each other. With that hard four-letter word lingering in their relationship, it's safe to say that their relationship is on the right track - and fans are shipping them hard. There is no other way to put this but Rihanna, my dear, you chose well.
If you don’t know Hassan Jameel, or never heard of his name like the billions of other people in the world, then let’s begin with the fact that he owns a soccer league named Jameel League in the Saudi Football League. So, not only is he the perfect man to be enjoying low-key dates around Europe, but The Jameel clan being ranked as the 12th richest Arab family with a net worth of $1.5 billion. It's safe to say the 'Bad Gal' is living her best life with her boo thing.
Minding Her "Business"
On September 8, 2017, RiRi's dreams turned to reality with the launch of Fenty Beauty. Her creations were mere examples of breaking a barrier in the beauty industry by focusing on products that covered extensive lines of skin types and tones “so that women everywhere would be included."
Designed to feel lightweight, RiRi focused on creating the most effortless and natural looks while providing the best coverage - reminding the world that makeup is about fun and taking risks. She did all this by creating a large range of foundations and concealers that were traditionally hard-to-match skin tones. Today, the Bad Gal recently launched a new pencil and styler named “Ultra Fine,” a retractable brow pencil available in 14 shades along with a clear gel pomade to keep those meticulously matched brows in place.
With contributing musicians like Jamaican dancehall artist Demarco and songwriter Monique Lawz, talks of a new music drop seems to be coming sooner rather than later. Although the news is recent and the song has only been recently registered by the publisher, many fans have been commenting on the “Rihanna News” fan page to get more of the inside scoop of this major hint.
Here’s what we know thus far: the new song will feature a more upbeat reggae beat like the previous hit “Work,” and Demarco and Monique Lawz have confirmed the name of the track “Private Loving” via Twitter. With such early news, who knows how long we might wait but it's baby steps and fans are loving it!
