Celebrity Food & Beverage Collabs You Should Be Trying
What's better than listening to your favorite artist? Listening to your favorite artist while eating their exclusive meal -- you know what we're getting at here.
If you haven't already heard, there have been some recent collaborations between celebrities and your favorite restaurants and food/beverage brands within the last couple of months. We decided to dig a little deeper than just "The Travis Scott Meal" from McDonald's to give you a few more options of collabs that you can try out to support your favorite celebrities.
The 24-year old musician’s newest creation surprisingly isn’t music. After wanting to do this for over three years, Post Malone has created a modern twist on 'pink wine'. Introducing Maison No. 9, a wine “designed to break down the traditional perceptions around wine and its barriers for consumers.” Not only does this wine have a unique taste from your typical rosé, but it also comes in an aesthetically shaped bottle. Posty had an instant vision to create a solid glass custom closure for the bottle with ‘battlements’ inspired by a medieval castle near the vineyard.
Following months of intensive prototypes, a fully sustainable glass closure with the signature No. 9 was created to encourage re-use of the bottle. The bottle will be sold nationwide in three sizes—750 milliliters, 1.5 liters, and 3 liters—with a suggested retail price of $21.99, $44.99, and $89.99 respectively.
If you haven’t heard, which you probably have by now, Travis Scott has a collaboration with the infamous fast-food giant, McDonald’s featuring his favorite burger: Quarter Pounder. This is McDonald’s second time ever to collab with a celebrity. The first was with Michael Jordan back in 1992.
Travis Scott’s favorite McDonald’s burger features a ¼ lb. of 100% fresh beef topped with onions, pickles, two slices of melty cheese, bacon, shredded lettuce, plus ketchup and mustard. If you order the entire meal, it also comes with fries and a sprite to drink. There was even a chance to win an exclusive Travis Scott x McDonald's action figure.
After hearing all the hype about it, we gave in to trying the Travis Scott. Honestly, we weren't super impressed. Might as well stick with a regular quarter-pounder.
Ben & Jerry's came out with a new ice-cream flavor named after The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon: The Tonight Dough. Pretty clever, right? The two founders decided they enjoyed watching Jimmy Fallon's show so much that they needed to name a flavor after him.
This flavor is made of caramel and chocolate ice-creams mixed together with chocolate cookie swirls, gobs of chocolate chip cookie dough, and peanut butter cookie dough. A portion of the sale for this specific flavor is dedicated to SeriousFun Children's Network of global camps for children with serious illnesses. This is personally one of our favorite ice-cream flavors and you should definitely give it try!
Dunkin' Donuts has released a new drink named after Tik-Tok star, Charli D'Amelio. This is Charli's go-to drink order that consists of a Dunkin’ Cold Brew with whole milk and three pumps of caramel swirl. The drink has 200 calories with 36 grams of fat, so it's not as bad as some of the sugary coffee drinks on their menu.
Some fans have even raved that the drink tastes like "left-over cereal milk", which has been trending across social media. When we tried it last week, it was different than what we were initially expecting. It's super sweet and flavor-packed for iced-coffee lovers like us.
Snoop Dog is the inspiration behind a 19-Crimes red wine called, "Snoop Cali Red". Did Martha Stewart have any influence on the rapper's dive into the culinary world? Maybe. Either way, this red wine blend includes 65% Petite Syrah, 30% Zinfandel, and 5% Merlot for $12 a bottle.
John Wardley, the Marketing Vice-President of 19-Crimes said, "Snoop Dogg, an entertainment and Californian icon, is the perfect partner... (he) embodies the spirit of 19 Crimes – rule-breaking, culture creating, and overcoming adversity." This is an interesting collab and we're excited to try it!
Something you probably didn't know about Selena Gomez is that she's the part-owner of Serendipity, an ice cream line created by the New York City restaurant Serendipity3. Gomez grew up loving the restaurant and couldn't pass up the opportunity to partner in their expanding brand earlier this year.
The brand announced a new ice cream flavor in honor of Selena Gomez and BLACKPINK’s collaboration for their song 'Ice Cream'. This ice cream is called the Cookies and Cream Remix, with pink vanilla ice cream, swirls of fudge, and crumbled cookies. This flavor is next on our list to try once we finish The Tonight Dough!
